Olympus Magna Mike 8600 Hall Efect Thickness Gauge
The Magna-Mike 8600 portable thickness gauge measures nonferrous materials with accuracy and repeatability using a straightforward magnetic approach. The gage is quite easy to use. A tiny target ball (or disk or wire) is positioned on the other side of the test material or dropped into a container while its magnetic probe is held or scanned on one side of the test material to take measurements. The distance between the probe tip and the target ball is measured by the Hall effect sensor on the probe. The measurements are immediately shown as a digital thickness reading that is simple to read.
Three Versatile Probe Designs
There are three types of articulating magnetic probes for the Magna-Mike thickness gauge: straight, right angle, and low profile. To increase their longevity and save replacement costs, the 86PR-1 and 86PR-2 probes have removable wear caps.
